Recent Fairmont Olympic Hotel Review: "We just spent the weekend at the Fairmont Olympic and have to say it was fabulous! From dropping the car off with valet to checking in which was super quick and easy to arriving at our room...which was gorgeous... we had a great time. What a nice surprise to find our room was actually a suite. A relaxing sitting room leading to the bedroom (with pretty french doors) with a comfy king size bed and then on to the large bathroom. The bathroom had everything you could need. There was even a nail file which I happened to need. Our sitting room had a CD player with a "lounging" CD that was great to play while having cocktails. While we did not eat at either of the 2 restaurants we did try the coffee and pastry shop on Sunday morning... OH MY! Quite possibly the best latte I have ever had. And being from Seattle I am quite the coffee snob...sorry but true... another unexpected surprise came when the valet brought our car and gave us a little bag with cookies and milk! Who does thatr I can only say I have found a new favorite place to stay in down town Seattle. What a great location, close to S.A.M. (Seattle Art Museum) We went to the Picasso Exhibit (easy walking distance)...this is a MUST see while it is here in Seattle..... also went to Pikes Market to pick up fresh crab to take home for dinner (easy walking distance...had to take a cab to the Seattle Pacific Science Center (too far for us to walk) to see the Bob Marley Laser light show (very fun) and to the Harry Potter Exhibit (great exhibit). In any event a great location close to the Fifth Ave Theater and all you could want to do downtown. Will stay here again!"

| A short guide to Downtown Seattle |
|
Downtown Seattle stretches along Puget Sound from historic Pioneer Square in the south to trendy Belltown in the north. In between, office towers, shopping gallerias, and brick condos line the leafy avenues. The convention center is here, as is Pike Place Market, where salmon fly. Don’t miss the futuristic main library. Seattle’s twin stadiums and the International District lie south of downtown.
